What this site collects

When you join the waitlist or request the Series Continuity Self-Audit, we collect what you give us in the form: your email address, optionally your first name, and your answers to a few questions about your writing (series status, books published, genre, publishing platform, and your biggest series challenge). We also record standard attribution: which page you signed up on, the referring page, and campaign tags (UTM parameters) if you arrived from a link that carried them.

Where it goes and why

• Kit (kit.com, formerly ConvertKit) — our email platform. Your signup is stored there so we can send you the download you requested, a welcome note, and waitlist updates. No spam, and we never sell or share the list.
• We do not sell or share the list. No spam. Every email includes an unsubscribe link that works immediately.

Your manuscripts

This website does not collect manuscripts. What happens to a manuscript you upload to the product is governed by the product's own papers: the Privacy Policy, the Security page, and the Subprocessors list. In short: analysis runs on Claude, by Anthropic, to produce your report, and neither StoryHelm nor Anthropic trains any model on your manuscript; Anthropic does retain API inputs and outputs for a limited window before deleting them. Your files stay under your account until you delete them, and StoryHelm never sells your work. To export or delete your data, email scott@storyhelm.com; we respond within about 30 days. Where this paragraph and those pages differ, those pages control.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no advertising cookies. Product analytics are off until you turn them on. We use two measurement tools: Google Analytics, which counts page views, and Vercel Speed Insights, which records how quickly pages load. Neither one is in the page until you choose Allow analytics on the banner, so before that no request goes to Google Analytics and no page-load timings are collected. Choose Decline and both stay off. Your choice is stored in this browser so you are only asked once.

One thing sits outside that choice, because it is not analytics: a Learn Hub article with a video loads that video's thumbnail image from YouTube; the player itself is not loaded, and no YouTube cookie is set, unless you click play. Typefaces are served from storyhelm.com itself (self-hosted copies of Inter, Playfair Display and Literata), so no page requests a font from Google.
